About me

Hi! I’m Alex, a passionate programmer with great interest in creating tools, game engines and rendering and skilled in C, C++ and OpenGL.

I currently have more than two years of experience in the gaming industry working as a Tools Engineer at Crytek as part of CRYENGINE’s Sandbox Editor team. I mainly focus on creating and maintaining tools, editor widgets and other editor sub-systems in C++ and Qt. I also work very closely with the UI & UX team to implement their designs and making them come alive in Sandbox.
Almost everyone at the company involved in the creation of our game projects uses the editor, so our team’s responsability is very high! I always try to write high quality features and code that will help the rest of the teams achieve their goals faster and in simpler ways.

I am also a graduate in a Bachelor of Science in Computer Science in Real-Time Interactive Simulations (RTIS) at DigiPen Insitute of Technology Europe-Bilbao. I learned to write high quality and performant code and applied those skills into creating videogames (one of which is available on Steam), space partitioning, advanced rendering techniques, physics and many more topics.
